There are many types or class of lures and they all depend on what type of fish works you’re after. Many work only for specific types but some cover a wide range of fish species.

Light Standard Casting Lures

Of standard quality decoys, most are able to attract a wide range of fish varieties from albacore, bluefish, bonita, oho and crappies. 1. Let’s talk seasickness

Ther’s just nothing worse than ruining your fishing because of seasickness. Most medicines such as Bonine would be fine. Even experienced fishermen are known to take a few days in the rough. Take one before going to sleep, another when you wake up and a third before boarding.

2. Buy a reference book

There are a lot of good books that are available in bookstores and online. The book should give you instructions in addition to terms and definitions. There may be some things you may not immediately understand but you should know anyway. For instance, learning how to tie different types of knots. This knowledge will be invaluable for other purposes throughout your life.

3. Go to a party

There are boats that carry from 15 to as many as 60 fishermen. The boat offers everything from bait, to rods, reels, sinkers and hooks. The crew will help you in fishing and they’ll even take the hook off for you. Mates will see you and generally will stay close to help. For party boats, they’ll generally cost between $25 – $70 per day, and the fish are yours to keep. The party boat is a bargain for beginners.

4. Choose your dock

Assuming you already have skills acquired to operate a rod and reel, you have to find a fishing pier.

5. Party or pier

How to Set-Up?

- You may want to use a 50lb test spider line, then use a leader material that fits the situation.
- Thread the bait in the bait needle and hook the hair loop. You can also use foam dipped in a flavor thus enhancing the attractiveness of the bait.
- You can make a baiting needle by straightening a long shank hook. Slide the bait on the shank, then slide the bait from the needle onto the hair.
- Another advantage is using a float because it gives more weight to distance further and the location is easy to identify.
- Do not forget the float rig controller. A leader can be used attached to the swivel to its main line length of at least 3 feet with 10 pounds Drennan double strength. A low diameter mono will do as long as it floats well enough for visibility.

• The year 1768 or 1770 represents the birth of sport fishing bass. Onesimus Ustonson presented his first multiplying reels to the gurus and lovers of fishing. Later became bait caster.

Bass Fish

Several species of fish caught in the bass fishing events are:

• Micropterus salmoides (Lacepede) – Largemouth Bass
• dolomieui Micropterus – smallmouth bass

The following methods are simple, yet proven successful when used:

1) Method of rigging – Depending on the bait used, loop the bait holder or the treble hook from a line at a preferred distance to the end. Bait movement is not suggested, therefore, a weight should be used to allow the platform to be steady. A good distance is about 18″ to 24″.

The trick is to have the right mixture to heavily feed the catfish. The hook that will be used for your normal fishing must have the same recipe for the bait. Adding a good smelling flavor into the pasty mixture will cause more catfish to be attracted.

4) Tackling – Although this method technique is very effective, still the bait is what attracts and brings in the catfish. As simple as it is, the front should be approximately 6 feet long with a spinning reel. Choose heavier lines to allow more struggle between the you and the catfish.
